Self-Guided groups
Self-Guided Group visits are available for school or camp groups of grade-level students that want more flexibility during their visit. Groups can schedule to come as a Self-Guided Group to attend our daily public educational programs and explore Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center at their leisure.
Groups of 15 or more that pre-schedule for a Self-Guided Group visit are given a special group rate. Additionally, by pre-scheduling your Self-Guided Group visit, we will be able to limit the number of large groups visiting the Coastal Center on any given day, improving the experience for your students or campers. Groups arriving with less than 15 people (students and chaperones combined) will pay regular admission rates. Self-Guided Group visits must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
Group size will dictate which exhibits are visited during your Self-Guided Group visit. Certain exhibits and programs may not be available to larger groups. We reserve the right to modify daily educational programming without notice.

Program Price:
$7 per child 12 and under
$15 per child 13 and older
$15 per adult chaperone (no free adults)
Availability: 10 am to 12:30 pm, or 1 pm to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday (subject to availability).
Age Limits: Pre-K to 12th grade
Group Size Limitations:
- Students - 50 maximum
- Chaperones - 10 maximum
- Florida Oceanographic Society requires a minimum of one chaperone per 10 students/campers for Self-Guided Group visits.
Payment: Groups must pay together with ONE payment method to get group rate
Self-guided groups can download and print "Self-Guided Exploration Sheets: found below. These will help the chaperones lead the students through the facility and benefit mixed age groups as the sheets are tailored to each age range. Group policies still apply.

Groups are always welcome at the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center, but Self-Guided Group pricing is limited based on schedule availability. Special group pricing is not available on weekends or certain blackout periods.
