We will be building oyster reefs as part of a living shoreline using oyster bags. Oyster bags are made from recycled oyster shell and serve as a hard structure for oyster and other animals to settle on.
We will be transporting the oyster bags from the shore onto the reefs which will involve carrying the bags which weigh ~10 pounds each and building reef(s) in knee deep water. Please wear clothes that can get wet and bring plenty of water.
Closed toe shoes are required. A hat is also recommended. Gloves will be provided.
