Everglades to Estuaries: What Everglades Restoration Means for the Treasure Coast
Join Florida Oceanographic Society and The Everglades Foundation for a free live update on the latest efforts to restore the Florida Everglades. Learn about recent developments in the fight to save the Everglades, and what these efforts mean to the health of Florida’s coastal estuaries, including the Indian River Lagoon and the St. Lucie Estuary.
Topics will include the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, the Everglades Agricultural Area Reservoir, Lake Okeechobee discharges, nutrient pollution, algae blooms, and the inequity of water use in the Greater Everglades Ecosystem. Following the presentation, we will hold a question & answer roundtable discussion with the speakers.
