Oyster Reef Restoration Project

About the Event

Take part in habitat restoration with us as we build Oyster Prism modules that will be deployed to create oyster reefs at our restoration sites. Construction of the modules involves assembling cement and other materials to form a triangular mold that can be filled with oyster shell.

  • Participants should wear clothes that can get wet and dirty, closed-toe shoes, face coverings, a hat, and sunglasses.
  • Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. 
  • Gloves will be provided.
  • This event is held outdoors with some shade. 
  • Minimum age for this event is 18 years old. 

Meet us outside of our Visitor’s Center.  Space is limited so please RSVP online.

We require that unvaccinated people continue all appropriate safety precautions, including wearing facial coverings and physically distancing, to protect themselves and others. Proof of vaccination is not required, but we ask for responsible and respectful cooperation with this revised policy. We also ask that you continue to exercise good judgement by limiting your exposure to others if you are feeling unwell in any way or think that you may have been exposed to COVID-19 or any other infectious illness.

Registration closes on Tuesday, July 6th, at 3:15pm or when full. You will receive an email confirmation once you have registered. If you do not receive a confirmation email your registration did not go through.
