Seagrass Matting

Help us weave seagrass mats that will be used to restore seagrass meadows in the Indian River Lagoon. This project is an integral part of our FOSTER (Florida Oceanographic Seagrass Training Education Restoration) program.

No experience needed. Please wear clothes that can get wet and dirty, closed-toe shoes, a hat, and sunglasses. Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.  Meet us at the south end of our Coastal Center parking lot. 

Minimum age for this event is 10 years old. Participants under 18 years of age must be signed in and accompanied by an adult.
