Ais on the Lagoon

This event is free but seats are limited so please reserve your spot by registering below. Please note that this a bring your own canoe, kayak or paddle board event.  

Join Florida Oceanographic Society for a 4.5-mile round-trip paddle across the Indian River Lagoon.  We will launch from the U.S. Sailing Center in Jensen Beach and then stop along Florida Oceanographic's shoreline. There you'll enjoy  a breakfast of grits and clams followed by a brief presentation by historian and author Sandra Thurlow about the Ais Indians who inhabited this area centuries ago! This is a bring your own canoe, kayak or paddle board event. 

The event will start at the U.S. Sailing Center in Jensen Beach. Check in begins at 7:30 am and we will launch at 8:00 am.
